Mothering Sunday
Afternoon Tea Box

Treat your mother to a special afternoon tea for Mothering Sunday with irresistible home bakes and freshly made goodies. Our Mothering Sunday Afternoon Teas includes cocktail sausage rolls, sandwiches, mini tartlets, a special white chocolate millionaire’s shortbread, mini scones, mini frangipanes, shortbread, meringues with cream, chocolate-covered strawberries and cupcakes.

Available for collection from the Farm Shop. Pickup is available after 11am on March 29 or March 30, 2025.

Last orders will be taken on at 12pm on Wednesday 26 March.

We’ve planned some mouth-watering special dishes for lunch on Mother’s Day weekend (March 29 & 30). Booking are filling up quickly, so reserve your table early to avoid disappointment. You can view the specials here. Call 01330 850710 to reserve your table.

Co-working in the Gallery

Looking for a peaceful spot to work, connect, or focus on your projects? Join us upstairs at The Gallery in Finzean Farm Shop Tearoom on Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 PM for a free coworking session. Whether you're remote working, freelancing, or just need a change of scenery, this welcoming space is yours to use—no entry fee required!

Drop in anytime during the morning—stay for the full session or just pop in for a bit. Seating is available for about 10-15 people on a first come, first served basis, so no reservations are needed. Wifi is provided (the password is on the front of all our menus).

Summer Hours

Beginning Sunday, 30 March, Finzean Farm Shop & Tearoom will be changing to summer hours.

Open 7 days a week
9am - 5pm

Breakfast served from 9am until 11:30pm
Lunch served from 12pm until 3:30pm
Coffee served from 9am until 4:30pm

The Post Office will still be open on Mondays (1:30pm-3:00pm) & Wednesdays (11:30am-1:00pm).

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

If you enjoyed our Pancake Day Special, here’s the recipe so you can make them at home!

Bramley and Maple Syrup Pancakes

INGREDIENTS

For the pancakes:

• 200g self-raising flour

• 2 medium egg

• 150ml semi-skimmed milk (adjust to desired consistency)

• optional 1-2 tbsp sunflower oil or butter for frying

  For the bramley apple filling:

• 50g pecans

• 2 Bramley apples, peeled, cored and sliced

• Brown sugar

• 50g unsalted butter

• Maple syrup

METHOD

1. Mix the flour, the eggs and half the milk and beat together with a whisk until smooth. Stir in the remaining milk. Leave to stand for about 30 minutes if time permits.

2. Toast the pecans by placing on a baking sheet and cooking in a preheated oven (200C/ 400F /Gas Mark 6) for 8-10 minutes.

3. Pour about 1 tablespoon of oil in a l8cm/7inch frying pan and when hot, pour off all but 1 teaspoon. Stir the batter and pour about 3 tablespoons into the pan. Place over a moderate heat and cook for 1-2 minutes or until the base is golden. Turn with a palette knife or toss and cook the other side for 1 minute. Repeat until all the batter has been used, adding about 1 small teaspoonful of oil each time.

4. Keep pancakes warm in a moderate oven (180° C/350° F). Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large frying pan and, toss the Bramley slices in brown sugar and gently cook them for 2-3 minutes, turning once until the apples are golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.

   To serve: place the pancakes on warm serving plates, top with the apple slices and a few toasted pecans. Drizzle with maple syrup. Sift a little icing sugar round the plate and serve with lightly whipped cream.
